New Cornelia Funke Project/Use of the word Ye

Just finished a simple project for school on Cornelia Funke, and I will put it up here soon.

It probably won’t give ye who know her any more information, but it might be a good introduction to her for someone new to her work.

By The Way: apparantly, says a new student in our school from Wales, “ye” isn’t used much outside Ireland. Is this true? If it is, and you haven’t heard it before, it’s our slang plural of “you”… how can you live without it? How can you call a group of people you? It sounds so weird… I couldn’t physically stop using “ye”, even if I tried.

  1. It’s true! Here in America, I’ve never really heard anyone use “ye” before. But you know, we have things like “FAIL” or “EPIC FAIL” or “that’s what she said”. I think I’ve even heard people before say “beast”. (BTW–being a “beast” is a good thing.) Well, that’s what happens when people grow up in separate countries. It’s interesting to see what happens to the language though.. 😀
