Jarring is one of the biggest problems I’ve come up against while writing. Some people complain about writers block, but I never feel this. Jarring writing is my problem.
What do I mean by jarring?
To me, jarring is when writing just sounds slightly off-kilter: not bad, by any means, but not perfect. This can happen especially with the dialogue. I used to try and change parts of the scene to allow the prose to move along smoothly, but this usen’t work. So now I just delete the offending page, and start anew.
I just wanted to see if this happened to anyone else.
