5min Review: Power of Six, Pittacus Lore

A five minute review, because I literally have five minutes, maybe less, to write this. Perhaps it will become some sort of new segment where I just spew my thoughts about a book out super quickly…

Anyway. Power of Six, sequel to the super-cool I am Number Four, which I really liked. Teen science-fiction, so many places it could go wrong, but it didn’t. I’m not so totally over the moon with this second installation however. The narrative moves away from John Smith to a girl in Span… so forgettable I can’t remember her name right now. Anyway, he does feature in the story and does narrate parts, but it’s now split between him and another Loric escapee.

There are a few fun twists, and we get to see the adorable dorky Sam for a little bit too, but overall not a fantastic story. However, if you liked the first one, just read it anyway, because the next one might be better, and it would be a shame to miss out.
